Joe Turner's Come and Gone is a play written by August Wilson. The play first debuted on March 27, 1988 at the Ethel Barrymore Theater in New York. In 1988 it was nominated for four Tony awards, however the only win was for the best featured actress, which was won by L. Scott Caldwell for her role as Bertha Holly.
